Lecture and speaker information
Dr. William Xiaojun Wei is Chair, Asia Pacific Management Program, Director, Institute of Asia Pacific Studies and tenured faculty member in International Business at MacEwan University’s School of Business. William is senior research associate at the Centre for China and Globalization in Beijing, a founding member of the International Association for Chinese Management Research and editor-in-chief of Asia Pacific and Globalization Review. He is also board member of International Association of World Heritage Professionals and Hong Kong Canada Business Association, Edmonton Section. He has over 40 publications ranging from Journal Articles, Books, Book Chapters, Business Cases, Conference Proceedings and Presentations, with his most recent publications being a book titled EU Foreign Direct Investment to China: Location Determinants and Lessons from an Enlarged European Union (Dr. Kovac Publishing, Hamburg,2008) and his business case book titled Cross-cultural Business Cases (Shanghai Jiaotong University Press, 2011). William is awarded as distinguished scholar by the Academy For Global Business Advancement in 2012. Before joining MacEwan, Dr. Wei has finished his MBA in Berlin University of Applied Sciences and MA in World Heritage Studies in Brandenburg Technical University, Germany, his PhD in International Economics from University of Limerick in Ireland and his Post-Doc at Richard Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario, Canada.
